Under the guidance of LGBT Bar NY’s Legal Director and volunteer attorneys, interns participate in client intake, assist with legal research, organize case documents, learn valuable legal resources, and develop a deeper understanding of the profession.
Interns have the opportunity to interact directly with clients through LGBT Bar NY’s free legal clinics, client phone calls, and online inquiries. As a result, LGBT Bar NY’s interns gain exposure to a wide range of legal issues and practice areas, including housing, criminal law, discrimination, employment, family law, immigration, and estate planning.
